After about twenty minutes, food was being served. Trace and Carson took plates to Karen, Jaxon, Rick, and Red. Carson returned to sit at the table with Camille, but Trace stayed with his wife. Carson made sure to grumble a bit to Camille about her father not taking him seriously. It was enough to draw Hank’s attention again.
He’d been tracking all the little jibes and dismissals between Trace and Carson. The fight had thrown off his attention, especially when Juniper got involved. Hank knew she’d resolve fights around the house in the past, so it was probably natural to her. He knew she probably acted without thinking. It reminded him of the fight on Thursday.
