If there was anything I knew for certain about our inherited superhero powers, it was that they are wildly unpredictable. Something like this could happen to any of us, at any time. All of a sudden, our powers could change or appear in a new unexpected way. It was just unfortunate that today had to be the day for the already weary Allison. “You had the vision in the middle of the day?” I repeated back to her, beginning to feel like a damn parrot at this point as I tried to make sense of what she was saying. All she could do was nod her head in response, that desperate look in her eyes telling me that she was waiting for some reassurance. She wanted me to tell her what to do next, only, I didn’t have that answer for her.
