I thought about Allison’s question again as I flew off in the direction of the address Ben had given me. I probably should be better prepared, but today had been a really terrible day so far. Honestly, that probably only made it more important that I was prepared for the day ahead but instead it was making me rather lazy. This felt like a meaningless task amidst all the other stuff, but Ali’s buzzing anxiety was keeping me on guard. She was worried about this, and I knew that I should be too. Having our secret get out would be a really bad thing, it would change everything about our lives.
