Chapter 108: I Believe Whatever You Say
(Seraphina's POV)
"You said yesterday you had something to tell me, what was it?" I asked, settling into my ironwood desk chair.
As soon as this was mentioned, Talia instantly perked up. She sat up straight at her obsidian desk and said word by word, "I want to fall in love, darling."
I looked at her in surprise. Talia's terrible luck with males was legendary in our circle. Cheaters, gold-diggers, and worse had all crossed her path.
My mind immediately went to Jasper Kane. They had kissed recently, after all.
"Don't even think about that scoundrel Jasper," Talia said, waving her hand dismissively. "He's too much of a player. I want someone different."
"Different how?"
"Someone outside our circle. Someone without too much money." Talia
