As we entered the elevator, I quickly pressed the button for the first sub-level motor court. The doors slid shut with a soft hiss.
Kaelan reached for my hand with that familiar gentle motion. I swiftly dodged him, pulling my hand away.
He chuckled softly. "Are you angry?"
I kept my eyes fixed on the descending floor numbers. "How dare I be angry with the Alpha King? You are our biggest investor after all."
