"Kaelan," I called, feeling a bit uncomfortable under his intense golden gaze.
I instinctively reached out to push against his chest. "What are you doing?"
Kaelan's voice grew husky as he gently gripped my chin and lowered his head to capture my lips. I unconsciously clutched the lapel of his suit jacket, my eyelashes fluttering as I closed my eyes, cautiously returning the kiss.
A faint, refreshing coolness spread between our lips, like tasting fine moonlight wine, sweet and intoxicating. Time seemed to stretch, and after what felt like an eternity, the long kiss finally ended.
