Seeing my gaze fixed on the gardens below, Kaelan also turned his head, following my line of sight. He noticed the two figures walking through The Oaken Gallery.
"Do you know that she-wolf?" I asked, surprised by the familiar feeling. "She looks like someone I've seen before."
Kaelan nodded calmly. "That's Elodie Beaumont, daughter of the Beaumont Pack's second line. By blood relation, she should call me cousin."
I nodded in understanding. That explained why she seemed familiar - I had likely glimpsed her at Matriarch Isolde's anniversary celebration the previous evening.
