Chapter 69: Kaelan, You Still Have Me
(Seraphina's POV)
As the Blackmoon Pack annual gala approached its end, many guests began filtering out of The Sovereign Ballroom. The chandeliers dimmed slightly, casting a softer glow over the remaining attendees.
Kaelan rose from his seat beside me, his commanding presence drawing immediate attention from nearby pack members. "I have a press assembly to attend," he said, his voice carrying that familiar Alpha authority. "I'll take you home afterward."
My spirits lifted instantly. This was the opportunity I'd been hoping for.
"Kaelan," I said boldly, meeting his piercing gaze. "Could I accompany you to the press assembly?"
