“Do you really not want to come back here?” Julia asked me when she was on FaceTime with me. “I can make you my COO or CMO if you want.”
Ever since I left for Australia almost four years ago, she’s stayed in touch with me.
“I am busy here, Jules,” I replied. “Besides, don’t you have a new trusted head designer there right now?”
She rolled her eyes. “Yes, but she’s not as good as you,” she replied. “Anyway, if you want to come back here, my company is always open for you. So just text me, alright?”
I smiled and nodded. “Sure,” I answered.
“Okay, I better go. We have a board meeting at four. I’m running late,” she said. “I will see you soon, okay? Say hi to Kenna for me!” she beamed, and I nodded, bidding goodbye before ending the call.
