“What’s this?” I asked Kino when he showed up in the lobby holding a bouquet of roses. He smiled brightly. “For you,” he replied. “To brighten up your day, I guess?” I chuckled and nodded before taking the flowers. “You didn’t have to. But thanks,” I told him before slinging my arm around his. “Are you taking me out for dinner?” I asked. He shook his head and immediately frowned because we already have planned about this night.
