It had been an excruciating day and a half.
Aria was still missing. Susie and I decided to let the girls stay home again. We knew we’d need to bring them back to school soon, but we were both afraid to let them out of our sight for the time being.
It was the one thing we seemed to be bonding over these days.
Even that was hard. With the possibility that Susie had intentionally messed with the DNA results to get with Dominic, he and I both had been having trouble interacting with her.
To help the girls feel safer and also provide some peace of mind for the adults, we decided to have a sleep over in the parlor last night. Me, Susie, Dominic, Lila, and Emma all built a pillow fort and slept in it together.
