We let the girls sleep in since it was a Saturday morning. Dominic and I used the time to update Adam on everything he’d missed since he’d been away over a few cups of coffee. The Beta was appropriately enraged at all the right parts: Susie’s series of betrayals and Henry’s abduction of Aria that Dominic had managed to keep out of the press.
When the girls woke up, it was adorable to see how excited they were to have Adam back, especially Emma who had lived in the house for a bit before he was suspended. It made it easy to ask Emma to show Adam our pillow fort while Dominic and I spoke with Lila.
Of course, at some point we would need to tell Emma that her mom had been taken away. But that conversation would have to take place later. Right now, we had an opportunity and a deadlin
