The more historical books I read, what struck me the most was the lack of information. There were textbooks upon textbooks on laws that specified what werewolves and mostly humans were allowed or not allowed to do. There were some books on the history of how we got to our current state, but they didn’t go very far back—only a couple generations.
Beyond that, there was nothing.
Thankfully, in the middle of a weekday, the library wasn’t too busy. I didn’t feel so bad for taking up an entire table by myself with all my books.
When someone sat down at the chair across from me at my table, I thought I’d lost track of how crowded the library had become and my table was the only one left with available chairs.
