It was hazy when I woke up. There’s light in the room but it wasn’t bright. It took a while for me to guess it is nighttime. I then remembered the accident so I realized I must be at the hospital. She must’ve sensed me then. She sat up straight when she saw me awake. “Hey, don’t move. Lie back down. Are you hungry? Thirsty?” Her gentle voice soothed me. I tried to speak but no sound came out. My throat is dry. She must’ve understood because she suddenly held a glass of water for me. I sighed after I drank. “Fine.” I managed to say.
