I was only gone for a few minutes to make a few calls. I had to call my parents and Laurel's parents too, to tell them what was going on, and then convince them not to come to the hospital. The hospital was closed to visitors right now because there were so many people being treated, but luckily I had come in with the injured, so I was allowed to stay.
Then when I got back to the waiting room, Micah was gone.
Did something happen? I race down the hall to the room where they moved Ava and Laurel after they came out of surgery, and there's Micah, sitting next to Ava and holding her hand. Their heads are really close together and they're smiling at each other and it's kind of weird, but I ignore them for now to focus on my mate.
