My dad gives all of the senior class the next week off school. Most of us were involved in the fighting, and some people are still in the hospital. I spend a lot of time with my dad and Micah, his new Beta. We have to root out everyone that was working with Beta Aldric. It's unpleasant work, especially learning just how many of our pack have betrayed us. I can see how much it bothers my dad. But there's a new peace in his eyes too, knowing that the person responsible for my mom and Kara's death has finally been caught, and I feel lighter too.
Although a lot of that could also be because of my new mate.
I see Sadie as much as I can, but she's at the hospital with Ava a lot, and Micah is too. He told me the morning after the fight that they're mates.
