I find Ace outside father's study and immediately I wonder if he's told him what I've been up to.
"There you are." He says. "I've been talking to Gabriella . . . Just so you know."
I stiffen. He's spoken to Gabriella? What could they have possible talked about?
Did she happen to tell him the truth about us?
"She says that there is nothing that I don't already know." He answers before I can ask the question.
I feel relief throughout my entire body, I've never told Gabriella to keep this secret for me but I was grateful that she did either way.
"Is that all you want to tell me?" I ask suspiciously.
Ace sighs. "We've never been one to keep secrets from each other brother. When did all of that change?"
I swallow. "I'm afraid I don't know what you're talking about."
Ace nods.
