Hailey Despite the incident with Jessica in the hallway, I wasn’t going to miss my chance to see the infirmary. After my last class of the day, I tried to hype myself up the entire walk there. You know the human body. You understand how joints and muscles work. You’ve wrapped your hands a thousand times. You can do this! When I walked through the infirmary doors, though, doubt settled in the pit of my stomach. These people had been working here for years as nurses. I was nothing compared to them. Would they even think I was worthy to learn from them? The infirmary was small but effective. There were three hospital beds and a huge shelf stacked with wraps, ice, and medicines.
