I was still sitting in the tree with Serena, a little lost in thought, when a scream of sheer terror ripped through the crisp morning air, instantly putting me on high alert. A few seconds later, more high-pitched screams pierced our ears.
At first, I didn’t see anything out of the ordinary, but the screams persisted, so I decided to leave the cover of the tree and investigate.
