When Tamara and Dane joined us in the dining hall, they looked surprisingly happy for a change. They were both displaying wide smiles, and Tamara seemed calmer than usual.
The kept the smiles on their faces throughout the entire lunch, and I was relieved to see them getting along so well. Every time Dane would glance over at my sister, there was no mistaking the love that would swirl in his brown eyes, and it was nice to see.
Every now and then Tamara would lean over and whisper something in Dane's ear, then he would lick his lips and smile even wider. I had no clue what she was saying to him, but whatever it was made Dane extremely happy, and I found that to be adorable.
