Jennifer woke up to her phone ringing. She reached out to her bedside table, groaned in her half-consciousness at her inability to find it, before finally taking hold of it. She didn't know what time it was but, surely, it was way too soon for anybody to call. “Hello?” Her voice was hoarse from sleep, and she cleared her throat. “Hey, Jen,” came Jeremy's cheerful greeting, “you sound asleep?” “What are you calling so soon for?” Usually, she was not this grumpy person in the morning. However, having her sleep disrupted by a phone call was not something she appreciated. “So you are asleep while I'm waiting for you outside,” he chuckled, and she could just imagine his green eyes twinkling with amusement. She could not believe she had slept through her alarm. It certainly never happened
