“Because they’re after you…” He trailed off. His voice was barely audible but I heard it. His words sent a chill down my spine and the things that I was feeling through him made it even more overwhelming but I held on to him.
“I… what?” I finally managed to ask when I got my word back. I didn’t know how to react to it. They were after me? But why? What did I ever do to them?
“They’re after you Dossam. They found you out before I could…” He spoke as his hold got tighter and tighter. For a moment, he was choking me so I had to unwrap his arms from me and make him face me.
“I am still not getting any of it… could you tell me more?” I asked. The look on his face was something that I had never seen before on anyone. It was a mixture of terror and something else that I couldn’t name.
