I woke up alone.
There was no trace of Ace anywhere in the morning. I went for breakfast and met Corey. She seemed somewhat in better condition. It had been days since I went back to school and exams were approaching so I had other things in my mind to distract myself.
I was in my room for most of the day and I didn’t see Ace around for dinner as well. His absence had started to claw my insides. It was making my body ache. I needed to see him soon. I gave up waiting for him before I found myself leaving my room and the packhouse.
