"What was that all about?" Barry asks me immediately after we take back our seats
"Hmm...what do you think?" I ask him while smiling, if Bailey thought she would make me jealous by the prank she pulled then she was mistaken, i was not ready to let her win at any cost, i was going to play her own game and i was going to beat her up to it
"Like you are using me to revenge on that cousin of yours"
"Nope...not a chance, I'm not using you, you and I both know that" i say trying to make him understand
"Well i hope so, have you seen Melanie? You know sometimes i feel like we using her and it's not okay, i don't love her and you know that"
"She was okay with it, i think we explained everything to her and she agreed so if she falls for you it's up to you, you can't force someone to love you, it comes automatic" i say sipping on my wine.
"You should be considerate but then i didn't call for all of this, i just loved someone who was in love with someone else, i loved you Brianna but then you are in love with someone else, but one thing i promised? I will always be there for you even if you with me or not, i still care" he says and rubs my knuckles softly
For the longest time I've known Barry, i knew maybe i was in love with him but i as wrong, my heart was and will always be Bruce's, even though he f****d up, made me look like a fool but my heart was always meant for him, I've tried my level best to get over him but nonetheless it hadn't helped me even a single step. I know I'm using Barry but i would apologize later.
When i saw Bruce earlier today, i was at first amazed at how he was all grown into such a handsome, independent young man, he had grown tall and more muscular, more handsome and such a hunky, you might call me stupid from falling for him again but i think I'm falling for my ex fiancee, i still have the engagement ring with me but i don't usually put it on for many, first i didn't want to hurt Barry by putting on, so i removed it the moment he confessed his feelings for me, and that is how we have been living.
"I'm not using you Barry, the world knows we are dating, it knows you and I are together, we are one thing, why are you worried?" I asked
"We both know we not sting on ground, it's just for the cameras and honestly i think this should just stop, give me a chance to prove to you Bree i love you, you just stuck on that good for nothing man who couldn't see your worth but you can even notice the efforts i have out through to show you how much i love and care for you" he says and i feel his pain
"He is not a good for nothing man, he just messed up one time, and i told you he didn't cheat on me,i found them midway and he was super drunk!" I half shout at him whole trying to remember what happened that night, he squeezes my arms to remind me we are in a multitude and i should keep my voice low, it had escaped my mind
"So now you trying to defend him, he didn't cheat right? But what if you didn't intervene what do you think would have happened huh? A real man knows his girlfriend's worth even if he is sober or drunk that doesn't give him a chance to cheat on you, he doesn't deserve you Brianna, open your eyes and see it" he says and I feel like he's being true but then my heart belongs to him, i just need to give him a chance to explain himself, a chance to tell me what really happened between him and Bailey, i still love him despite all his flaws, i don't know what I'm going to do because I'm confused right now
"And whom do you think deserves me? You?" I ask daringly
"You know what? I'm sick and tired of this Bruce thing, I'm going back home, will talk later" he says and pushes his chair back and walks out pissed, i will talk to him later but right now i need to talk to Bruce.
I look around and i don't spot him, the couples are busy dancing on the floor and when Ruby sees me, she half runs to where i am
"Baby what is wrong? You look confused?" She asks concerned
"Nothing Ruby you should've dancing with your husband now, you guys are now married and here you are worried about me" i ask while smiling
"Remember what we promised? Chicks before niggas"she says and i cants top laughing
"Really, you are newly wedded Ruby, you shouldn't be calling your husband a nigga, he is your husband"
"I know right, but you always come first, so who is that guy i should be kicking his ass before i go for my honey moon?" She asks and i can't help but smile, she's a lovely soul and i wish i got her as my big sister
"No one, you should be focusing on your husband right now, after you honey moon I'll feed you in the whole story"
"That sounds like a plan but do i have a choice?"
"Nope not like you have any option, I'll see you around, let me look for my sister, i haven't seen her around" i say and walk out and she goes back to her husband.
I look around for Eileen and Melanie but they are nowhere to be found. I take my phone and dial Eileen's number.
"Hi siz where are you I've been looking for you but i can't spot you around" i say immediately she picks on the second ring
"Sorry i forgot to tell you, Michael was involved in an accident so i drove here to be with him" she says and she seems but tensed and sad
"Ooh my God is he okay?what happened?" I ask
"He is okay for now, the doctor said he was going to be fined just a few fractured ribs and a broken limb but he is okay right now"
"Ooh thank God he is okay, I'll pass by"
"Ooh no need it's already late, you should get home, are you okay by the way, i heard why happened between you and Bailey, that lady is one hell of trouble, thank God you handled her"
"By handling her you mean, beating her ass, she was already pissing me off, imagine she poured wine on my dress, it was stained and i was fuming, i just had to put her right where she belonged"
"Yeah she totally deserved it though, so are you home or still at the wedding?"
"I'm at the wedding i actually thought you could give me a ride home, Barry left with my car"
"Ooh i hope everything is okay?"
"Yeah nothing i can't handle,I'll give you a call once I'm home"
"Okay pass my apologies to Ruby on my behalf, i had to leave early"
"Okay sure no problem" i say and hang up. Just before i can turn around to go in, i bump into a hard chest and before i know it, my phone falls from my hands and off on the floor,i hear the glass shattering sound and that it is, my new phone has just spoilt
"Sorry i wasn't looking where i was going" the stranger says and i recognize the voice
