Elena was about to speak but Josie met her gaze strong, “Because ever since that talk, he’s been nothing but the perfect father. And you can’t take that from him again.” Elena swallowed hard and then shook her head rapidly, “I did everything I could to make our family work. Horatio was just unworthy of me, just like you. Because if you think he’s half ass love is perfect? You’re as dense as him.” Elena watched Josie chuckle warily but didn’t flinch or show any of the words tossed out like hand grenades hurt. Instead, the almost steel skin was impenetrable as she sassed, “That may be true, but at least me and daddy both found someone who were worthy of us, and what about you?
