“Someone is in a good mood,” Levin said as he and Mica sidled up to Caden.
Throughout practice, they noticed a new sense of contentment in him, a far cry from the malaise of the previous day. Caden met their gazes with a small smile that couldn’t be contained.
“Yep, definitely a good mood,” Mica agreed. “Did you finally talk to your girl?”
Caden hesitated, but nodded, his grin getting wider, “Yeah, we did.”
“Oh?” Levin prodded. “For you to be smiling like that, I think a little more than talking went on.”
Caden felt his face warm at the memory of the day he shared with Alexis, as well as their night together. Certainly, it hadn’t started off on a good note, but it had gotten better, much better. Everything was different now.
“Hold on,” Mica scrutinized Caden closely, “you two did a
