“Ready to go home?” Caden quietly asked as the night winded down.
Some of the other orchestra members were getting rowdy, buying rounds to keep the party going, but Caden wasn’t particularly interested. They had already been there for a couple of hours and he was reaching his limit.
“Mhmm,” Alexis nodded. “You ready?”
“Yeah.”
“Kay, just let me use the restroom and we can head out,” she slowly eased off the stool with his arm steadying her.
In truth, she was also at her limit. After a long day at work, she was ready to curl up in bed. She made her way to the bathroom, relieving herself and washing her hands.
