“Something wrong?” Caden asked when she remained silent.
“No. Just thinking,” Alexis shook her head. “I think…I need to apologize.”
“Why?”
“Because of something I was planning to do,” Alexis said. It was awkward to explain. “But, I can’t go through with it.”

“There’s a guy at work,” Alexis said. “He’s been trying to undermine me since I took over. Yesterday, he asked me out.”
