Chapter Fifty Six
"Portal"
They lead me up a grand staircase and to the second floor of the building, down several hallways, and into a very peculiar room.
Maddy, the witch who I’m guessing specializes in portals, is standing beside a stone archway in the middle of the room, crushing herbs together in a metal bowl similar to the one Savannah used earlier. Upon our entrance, she glances up and asks, “Specific coordinates?”
Hyacinth says, “The Shadow packhouse is midway up a mountain in a pretty rural and unexplored mountain range. Odds are they’ll have wolves on patrol within a mile radius, so it’s best if we appear about two miles away, do our spell, and then get out as quickly as possible to avoid getting seen or caught.” With that, she reels off a set of coordinates to Maddy.
