Magnus looked up from his book and gave Cameron a cold stare. "Necessary? Of course, it was necessary," he said dismissively. "She was becoming a liability to the empire. I had to act in the best interests of the crown."
Cameron looked at Magnus with concern. "But, Your Highness, what about the consequences of your actions? Have you thought about the karma?"
Magnus snorted. "Karma? Don't be ridiculous. I'm the Crown Prince. I don't believe in such superstitions. Besides, I did what needed to be done."
Cameron sighed. "I understand, Your Highness," he said. "But sometimes, the consequences of our actions can come back to haunt us. It's important to be mindful of that."
