Lacey lost both of their parents in the war and Josie had quite come to like the girl owing her a lot and appreciating her bravery. So when Archer brought up the idea of taking in Lacey, Josie was all for it.
So they became nineteen-year-old parents of a twelve-year-old girl. Even though they are young. Lacey doesn't feel like she's missing out on anything at all.
