Sarah sat flabbergasted to see her parents in front of her. She never expected to see them again. Her mother stood over her daughter with tears in her eyes. They held nothing but regret not siding with Sarah from the get-go and that it took weeks to see the error of her ways as a mother and a fellow woman.
“Nari-ya, jaljinaess-eo?” (Nari, how have you been?) her mother asked.
“Why do you care?” Sarah spat back with venom. After everything her parents had done to her, she was not about to forgive them just because they decided to show up and act like the loving parents they were not.
