After some of Lazaro’s men took off into the night to track down Katana in hopes of a hefty payday, those who were left called it a night. Lazaro was generous enough to offer rooms for all of us. The plan was to sleep, eat, and then head back home since. But Lazaro stopped me before I could even step toward my guest room with Sin.
“Michael, may I have a word with you?”
“Uh, sure,” I replied and looked hesitantly at Sin.
