“If this were a regular visit, then we could have. But we’re going so we can warn your Father about Ruben,” I replied.
“I know. It’s just … Ugh … When I called him to let him know we were going over there, he jumped the gun and assumed I was bringing the kids. He wants to meet them so badly,” she said with sadness. “I hate breaking his heart by telling him it was because of something else.”
“There’s time for him to meet them. We’ll make sure they know who he is. That they have another Grandfather who loves them regardless of who and what they are,” I assured her. I knew Sin’s worries stemmed from the fact that Lazaro would turn himself in to the authorities as soon as he got his vengeance on Sin’s Great Aunt.
