Yasmyn's POV
We stared at each other, totally frozen. I can see that he is doing his best not to stare down at my body.
"How about you get dressed and then we talk about things later?" Brendan himself asked me and I nodded eagerly.
He was being a gentleman when he turned around to stop anyone just in case they were coming to check up on us.
The clothes they gave me were surprisingly fit. As if they were made for me. It's a pink tank top and a black jogger. But no bra or panties though.
"I am so sorry for what my wolf has done," I whispered, walking out and facing Brendan.
No one is here and Brendan simply tilted his head, showing me the way back to the pack. As if I don't know the routes or directions in my own pack.
"Neeku shifted wolves tend to be more aggressive. So I kind of understand. It's okay," he said but it is not okay.
He wanted to reject me! And now my wolf tied us together forever. I don't know if there is any mark reversal system or ritual. I would gladly do it but I guess there isn't one in existence.
It's already evening now. The sky is about to turn dark. My stomach growled. I had only eaten breakfast and that too, not too much. I was dreading the meeting with The Rogue King.
It's funny how I met my ex lover in the morning. Shifted by afternoon. And marked my mate by evening.
My life should really be a movie.
In the heart of the pack, I saw Adi, Raul, Vernon and even Selena along with the members of the pack. They all have confused looks on their faces.
No one except Adi knows that Brendan is my mate. So now I should tell everyone about it. I don't think I am ready for that but I also think I don't have any choice at the moment.
"Can someone tell me what's happening?" Selena asked me.
When I see her, I cannot help but think of what she told me last night. She wanted me to run away from here. She said she was doing it to protect me.
I know something is off here but I don't know what that is.
And it's even more weird that I hadn't seen Silas ever since I came here. It's like he was never there. I don't understand half the things happening here.
I opened my mouth to say at least a word that would give clarity to the pack members, but something else happened that made everyone gasp and shriek in worst and fear.
Adi, who was standing in front of everyone, just fell down out of the blue.
"Adi!!!" I screamed as I ran towards him, trying to hold him before he fell but Raul beat me to it. He held our brother before he fell down.
Within just seconds, Adi's body has gone pale. And within seconds, his body felt ice cold.
