 Seth Winters  “Yeah, the car was definitely tampered with.” Roger rolled out from under the wreckage.  “Not only were the brake lines cut, the emergency brake cables were severed.”  I walked around the mangled car.  “How long could they have driven like that.”  Roger stood up and dusted himself off.  “Not far.  They might have been able to make one stop before the fluid was gone.”  I rubbed my hand over my face.  “Then the brakes were cut at the fire house, while they ate breakfast.”  “Sounds pretty damn pre-meditated to me.” Roger said, grabbing a rag to wipe the grime off his hands.  “Yeah,” I agreed.  I was looking at the blood spatter on the inside of the windshield on the passenger’s side of the vehicle.  I wasn’t a forensic scientist, but I was pretty sure that the spatter pat
