I was a bit baffled that they would want me to stay. You would think that they would want time to themselves, but I wasn't going to argue. It meant I got to stay next to her. I knew once the weekend was over, I wasn't going to be here 24/7. Unfortunately, I still had school.
The energy in the room was tense and awkward. They hadn't moved from the doorway and hadn't said a word. They just looked at her with mixed emotions on their face. Did I have to initiate this? Do they really not know what to say? And secondly, what were they even doing here?
