Nearly falling down face first, I stumble inside the imposing house. The place is gorgeous in an old money kind of way, making me feel even more out of place than I am. I meekly look around and despite being decorated in a very different way to Adam’s flat, it still has something that reminds me of him. “It used to be my parent’s place and I spent a lot of time here as a kid before they bought the big house.” Adam explains, probably because he’s seen my deer caught in the headlight expression and is afraid I’ll blow this for him.
