“I feel bad leaving Helena” Rebecca looked out the window on our ride home.
“I know, so do I. But she was adamant that we go, she’s in good hands with Laa” I rubbed her knee.
“She is, if you can’t find peace in Laa’s garden you won’t find it anywhere.”
“Do you think they’ll come tonight?” I asked.
“Yes, I do. Helena is a very strong woman. I knew that before but Bastien, when I saw her see her child after so many years… I was in awe. I don’t think I would’ve been able to keep it together. I could barely keep it together watching her. Sue is a wonderful woman; I see why Scarlett is such a compassionate woman in her own right and her dad is a hoot” she smiled.
