I dash up the stairs and grab the keys. Dad is long gone. I go down to the basement and find the door to the Luna’s safe room open. The room is empty.
I turn around, looking wildly among everyone, but I don’t see Ada anywhere. Too many people are here, and I can’t track her scent. f**k.
I rush outside and shift, grabbing the keys in my mouth just in case. I’ve got to find them. They aren’t safe. What if someone took Ada- again?
I run toward an empty spot in the woods and sniff. Nothing. I walk around, searching for any hint of either scent. She may have become too scared and ran with our pup, but someone may have seen Katya shift and got to them.
I need to find Dad and tell him, but I can’t link him. This is the worst part of being rogue. I can only link my Ada, M
