Butterfly so sweet and smooth
Fly right through every groove
All of your colors bold and bright
Especially when the sky is light.
You start as a caterpillar
Hiding in your cocoon
Over time you become beautiful
Your wings in full bloom.
You flutter around
From flower to flower
Looking for all
The scrumptious nectar.
When it rains
You rush to hide
When it's sunny
You breeze by my side.
This is poem I wrote while sitting at the ball park waiting for my husband's softball game to begin. There was the most beautiful yellow and black butterfly that kept fluttering around me, and it gave me the inspiration to jot down this poem. I believe that butterfly brought their team good luck, because they run ruled the other team.
