I woke up with Marlene's back pressed close to my chest again, and my arm was draped around her with my hand resting protectively over her stomach. It felt right; this was how things were supposed to be. I wanted to freeze this moment in time and live like this forever. I didn't move as she woke up, and she sighed sleepily and snuggled closer to me. "I wish we didn't have to get up..." she whispered, sleepily. "Me too..." I whispered back. I wrapped my arms around her, and pulled her close to me as I thought about what was going to happen in a few days. I tried not to think about how much I was going to miss her. Instead, I held her and listened to her heart beating in her chest and tried to memorize the feeling of her in my arms. I wanted to remember everything about this moment.
