Alyssa thought her marriage to Alpha Logan was built on love. They were fated mates, and she believed he loved her as much as she loved him. But her world shatters when she discovers that Logan has a mistress and he married her only to claim the title of Alpha. In a fit of rage, Logan kills her.

Instead of finding peace, Alyssa awakens in the astral realm and meets the Moon Goddess. She is offered a second chance to return to the mortal world and seek her revenge. Now, Alyssa must navigate a path filled with deception, power, and betrayal.

Will she be able to take her revenge and reclaim her life, or will Logan’s secrets destroy her again?

He let out a bitter laugh. “Believe what you want, Alyssa. But the sooner you accept the truth, the better it will be for both of us.”

My heart shattered at his coldness. “Logan, please,” I whispered, reaching for him again. “We can work through this. Whatever it is, we can fix it.”

Logan’s eyes darkened and his face contorted with a cruel smirk. “There is nothing to fix, Alyssa. I am in love with someone else. Her name is Angela and she is the one I want by my side, not you. Now that I have gotten what I needed from you—strengthening my position as Alpha, I no longer need you. You can stay in my pack if you want, but don’t ever think of disturbing me or Angela. You’re nothing to me now.”

Chapter 1
Today was supposed to be the happiest day of my life. I was married to Alpha Logan, my true mate. The one I had dreamed of for so long. As I looked at the wedding ring on my finger, memories of how we met filled my mind. It was at a grand ball, a celebration of the packs. The moment I stepped into the room, I felt it. A pull, a connection I couldn’t ignore. My eyes were drawn to him, tall and powerful, standing with an aura that commanded respect. My heart pounded, and Athena, my wolf, whispered in my mind, “He’s our mate.” I knew it immediately. His scent, like pine trees and the earth after rain, surrounded me, making everything else disappear. When our eyes met, it felt like the world had stopped. Logan, the Alpha of the Ruby Pack, was my mate. But today, something felt off. Logan entered the room, and my heart leaped with joy. I ran to him, ready to kiss him, to share my happiness. But instead of embracing me, he pushed me back. “Logan, what’s wrong?” I asked, confused and hurt. “Leave me alone, Alyssa,” he snapped, his voice cold and distant. “Are you angry with me?” I asked softly, searching his eyes for answers. He didn’t reply. Instead, he turned and walked toward the washroom. I couldn’t let him leave like this. I reached out and took his hand, trying to stop him. “Logan, please, talk to me,” I pleaded. Suddenly, he turned on me, his face twisted with anger. Before I could react, his hand was around my throat and he slammed me against the wall. Pain shot through me and I gasped. “Logan, stop! You’re hurting me!” I cried out as I felt the panic rising in my chest. “I don’t care,” he growled, his eyes cold and unfeeling. “You need to understand something, Alyssa. I don’t love you. This marriage, it’s all an act. I married you to become more powerful, nothing more.” His words cut through me like a knife. I stared at him, unable to believe what I was hearing. “What are you talking about?” I whispered, my voice shaking. He didn’t answer. He just released me, letting me fall to the floor, and walked away, leaving me broken and alone. But I needed answers. I couldn’t let him leave like this. I followed him and just before he could close the door to the washroom, I slipped inside. “You can’t just walk away like this,” I said, my voice trembling. “You need to explain yourself, Logan. If I did something to anger you, then tell me what it was. But don’t say such hurtful things to me. I love you—more than anything.” He turned to face me, his eyes still hard and cold. “You don’t get it, do you, Alyssa?” he said, his voice low but full of venom. “Love? You think this is about love?” I felt tears burning at the back of my eyes but I forced them down. “What else could it be about?” I asked, my voice breaking. “You’re my mate. My true mate. I have always believed that we were meant to be together.” Logan’s expression didn’t soften. Instead, he looked at me with something close to contempt. “You’re naive,” he said bluntly. “This is about power, Alyssa. About strength. I needed a Luna to strengthen my pack, to consolidate my power. That’s why I married you. Not because of some fairy tale notion of love.” His words felt like a slap to the face. I took a step back, trying to steady myself. “But… all the times you held me, all the times you told me you cared—was that all a lie?” He let out a bitter laugh. “Believe what you want, Alyssa. But the sooner you accept the truth, the better it will be for both of us.” My heart shattered at his coldness. “Logan, please,” I whispered, reaching for him again. “We can work through this. Whatever it is, we can fix it.” Logan’s eyes darkened and his face contorted with a cruel smirk. You’re nothing to me now.” His words felt like daggers plunging into my heart. I stared at him in disbelief. “No,” I said, my voice trembling. “I won’t accept this, Logan. You promised me so much. I believed you. I agreed to marry you because I thought you loved me. I won’t let you treat me like this.” A flash of anger crossed Logan’s face. “And what are you going to do about it, Alyssa?” he sneered. “I’ll speak to your father. He will hear about this, Logan. You can’t just—” “Shut up!” he shouted, his voice booming and echoing off the walls. In a flash, he was on me, his hand wrapping painfully around my hair. “You’re acting too smart for your own good,” he growled. “I won’t allow it.” Before I could react, he yanked my head back and then, with a swift, brutal movement, threw me down. My body hit the cold, hard floor, and a sharp, blinding pain shot through my skull as my head collided with the border of the bathtub. The impact was like an explosion of agony, searing through my brain and sending shockwaves down my spine. I gasped, my vision blurring, stars dancing in front of my eyes. A ringing filled my ears and it drowned out everything else. I tried to breathe but the pain was too intense. I felt a warm trickle of blood running down my scalp, but I couldn’t move, couldn’t think. The world was spinning around me. I heard Logan’s voice, distant and muffled, but I couldn’t make out the words. My thoughts were slipping away. The last thing I saw before everything went black was his cold eyes staring down at me, devoid of any remorse or regret. Then, there was nothing but darkness.
