_Alyssa's POV_ At dinner, I sat across from my mom and Logan, trying to focus on the meal in front of me. My mom was in high spirits, chatting away with Logan, who seemed to be genuinely interested in everything that she had to say. They laughed, exchanged stories, and talked like old friends.
