Chapter 69

1362 Words

_Alyssa's POV_ That night, I didn’t sleep well. The image of Logan with that woman—laughing, kissing—played over and over in my head. I kept seeing the blonde woman in the crystal ball, imagining her sitting in my place, wearing the title of Luna like it had always belonged to her. The betrayal stung deeper than I thought possible. The pain of the mate bond was constant, like a knife twisting inside me. When I finally did fall asleep, it didn’t bring any comfort. Instead, the nightmares came. I dreamed that Logan had married her. I saw them together, standing at the altar where we should have stood, with his pack gathered around to celebrate. She was wearing the Luna’s crown, smiling as she carried his child. And I was there, invisible to them, watching from the shadows. Forgotten. Lost.
