ONE NIGHT, Ezequiel was woken up by a voice. A voice that he couldn’t distinguish whether it belonged to a woman or a man. He looked at Jazmin. She was sleeping soundly beside him. He smiled and kissed her on her forehead.
Ezequiel slowly removed Jazmin’s hands from him and climbed off the bed, not making any sound, so he wouldn’t wake up Jazmin. Then, he left the room through the balcony.
He suddenly coughed. He covered his mouth with his hand, and when he looked at his hand, there was blood on it. Ezequiel could only sigh.
