It was close to one week since the wolves attacked and rescued Tina's daughter. Eric was still recuperating from failure, Wayne's death and a miss on killing Leon. He had found out he was Ariella’s weapon and he wanted to get rid of him without breaking a sweat or getting his hands dirty. So he found a way to reach the secretary of state through a friend. He compelled him to hunt down Leon without raising any suspicion. He should have known Ariella and Leon were a perfect team. The headlines he read on the paper were saying the opposite. He had to man up and kill him all by himself. What was he afraid of? A twenty three year old compared to a five century old didn't sound like a fair fight to him. He couldn't bet against himself.
