Goose
Leaving the bathroom, I was pissed, not at what Lyssa said but at myself. She was right. I had no right to tell her she couldn't entertain other guys if she wanted to. She wasn't my old lady, hell, she wasn't even my girlfriend. I made it clear she was nothing more to me than a hook up, and that's on me. And when I calm down, maybe I can convince her to change that. But then Bug had to go and open his mouth as I made my way through the room.
"Hey, Goose, sorry, man, I didn't realize Lyssa was with you."
"She isn't exactly."
Maybe I should have lied and said otherwise, but it was the truth. She wasn't with me, not yet anyway. Still, he could have let it go and not continued talking.
"Oh… I didn't realize the club girls were here today. Nice…”
I didn't think about it. I was already pissed off, but I would be damned if he was going to treat Lyssa like a club girl. She wasn't a f*****g club girl. She was mine. In retrospect, I could have just corrected the misunderstanding, but my fist connected with his jaw instead. The first contact of my fist and his face wasn't enough as the two of us hit the floor. I'm not sure how many punches I landed before I was pulled off him, but he managed to get in one good hit before I was pulled back.
"What the hell, man. A bit protective of a w***e don't you think?"
I am not sure who pulled me off Bug. I couldn't even tell you if they purposely let go of me long enough for me to punch the guy again. Still, I was able to get one more final really good punch to his nose, a satisfying cracking sound, and blood gushing down his face, before I was hauled off to the back offices and shoved into my dad's office, Chains and Brute taking up positions outside to keep me inside. Not that they really needed both guys. I wouldn't even dare to try to go through even one of the two brothers. I was good in a fight, but either one could kick my ass, and I knew it.
A good fifteen minutes later, my dad stormed into the office, slamming the door behind him. He was pissed off, and I knew instantly in this instant he wasn't just my dad but Jax, the president of the MC, who just spent the last fifteen minutes smoothing s**t out with a sister chapter of the MC after one of his guys beat the s**t out of one of their guys, seemingly for no reason. Things like that are what cause internal wars within the club, and we don't need that.
"You better explain what the f**k just happened out there, and it had better be good."
"He called Lyssa whore."
That wasn't the whole story, and I knew from the look on my dad's face that my explanation wouldn't cut it. Sighing, I ran a hand through my hair and plopped down in one of the chairs across from his desk.
"Have you ever been with a woman that you just can't seem to get enough of? Like if you don't see her, you can't breathe?"
Sighing, he sat down, and I know even though he is still pissed off as the MC president, he is in dad mode now and will talk with me instead of chewing me out for not exactly answering his question just yet.
"Yeah."
"What did you do? How did you get her out of your mind?"
Laughing, he shrugged.
"I married her, and there is no getting her out of my mind, nor do I want to."
Ugh, that's so not helpful. I was hoping for something more useful from my dad. Resigned, I sighed and told my dad everything from the beginning, starting with the first night I met Lyssa. Well, maybe I didn't tell him everything. I didn't go into details about the two of us together, but he got the gist. I ended with the fight tonight with Bug and what started it, and why I punched him the last time, even though that fight could have been avoided had I used my words and corrected him on his misunderstanding of her being a club girl. Though with that in mind, I don't feel one bit sorry for breaking his nose with the last punch after he called her a w***e. My dad listened the whole time and didn't say anything, even staying silent for a few minutes after I finished. Finally, when I was sure his silent watching me was going to kill me, he leaned back in his seat, sighing.
"Sounds like you have some things to decide along with a conversation with this girl you need to have. But as of today, she is right, you aren't together. She was here as Emilia's guest, not as your old lady. Bug was well within his rights to shoot his shot. Now, with that said, I don't agree with him calling her a w***e, but you could have corrected that thought before beating the s**t out of him. To make it right, you will pay for his visit to the emergency room tonight, and you will come in tomorrow morning and see me for some extra jobs the MC needs done, and donate your time to take care of them."
Nodding, I sighed, that could have ended up being much worse.
"Yes, sir."
"Now go home and figure your s**t out. I will see you in the morning."
"Yes, sir."
Standing, I headed out, with Chains and Brute walking me to my bike and following me home, ensuring I went straight there.
