AIDAN After the conversation with my father, I walked out of the office with nothing left in me. I was completely drained, but there was no way sleep would come. Hell, I didn’t want to be on my own or with anyone. I needed time to feel and being stuck in my room wasn’t the answer. Leaving the office was one thing, but I knew I had to get out of the pack house. I turned and headed to the front door of the pack. No one was around the pack house or grounds when I went outside. I stood on the top steps where I had been earlier that day and looked around. It was peaceful. Knowing my friends wanted to know what had happened in the office, I couldn’t face them, which meant I didn’t want to see any of them, not yet. My mind raced over everything that had been said, but it was the movement
