Sleep never came for me that night, even with Lee in the room with me.
My mind raced over everything, Mia being my mate and her being back in the pack. Not to mention Chloe and her family. Everything was up in the air and I, for one, was not in the mood to deal with anything.
The fact that Mia was my mate made me wonder if the moon goddess had it in for me. It wasn’t because I wasn’t happy she was my mate. I know deep down if I hadn’t done what I did I would have been her rightful mate, but right now at that moment, I felt like a monster for what I had done to her. She didn’t deserve what I put her through.
